LIC Jeevan Anand vs Jeevan Labh: Which One Actually Suits You?
18 July 2026 · 7 min read · Plan Comparisons
Both plans sit in the endowment family, both pay a maturity lump sum, and both are sold to roughly the same buyer. The difference is what happens after maturity, and how long you pay.
New Jeevan Anand keeps a death benefit running for the rest of your life after the maturity amount has already been paid. Jeevan Labh ends at maturity, but lets you stop paying premiums several years before the policy matures.
If your goal is to leave a guaranteed amount behind whatever your age at death, Jeevan Anand is the stronger fit. If your goal is a clean maturity corpus with payments finished before retirement, Jeevan Labh usually wins on cash flow.
Run both through the premium calculator with the same sum assured and term before deciding — the annual outgo difference is often smaller than people expect, and the decision then comes down to what you want the policy to do after maturity.
